Dr. Prescott Winter Begins Asian Cyber Threat and Risk Tour
Former CIO/CTO of NSA to Discuss Impact of Cyber Threats in Asia
CUPERTINO, CA – June 7, 2010 – ArcSight, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARST), a leading global provider of security and compliance management solutions that protect businesses and government agencies, today announced that Dr. Prescott Winter, ArcSight CTO, Public Sector, and former CIO and CTO for the National Security Agency, is meeting this week with government officials across Asia to discuss the impact of cyber threats on government agencies and corporations. Dr. Winter is an expert in cyber security for national government systems.
In partnership with local organizations, the ArcSight Cyber Threat and Risk tour will visit Singapore, Hong Kong, and cities in India, Taiwan and Australia. Due to new and emerging threats combined with political and economic issues across the globe, organizations in both the public and private sectors are facing increased incidents of cyber theft, cyber fraud, and cyber warfare.
ArcSight is working in partnership with local organizations on the tour, including the Data Security Council of India (DSCI), the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) in Hong Kong, Deloitte in Singapore, the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), Australia’s Internet Industry Association (IIA) and the Australia Information Security Association, to bring together top-level government representatives to discuss the increasingly significant role that cyber threats play in the regional arena, and what at-risk stakeholders must do to respond to such threats.
