ArcSight Named One of the ‘Best Places to Work’ in the Bay Area
Cupertino, CA – April 20, 2009 – ArcSight Inc. (NASDAQ: ARST), a leading global provider of compliance and security management solutions that protect enterprises and government agencies, today announced it was named one of the 50 Bay Area's "Best Places to Work" in its category by the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and the San Francisco Business Times. ArcSight is the highest ranking compliance and security software company on the list and ranked number 13 in the category of companies with 101-500 employees.
The award recognizes Bay Area companies based on the satisfaction of their employees. Open to all companies based in the Bay Area, each were evaluated via online employee surveys, on a wide range of topics, including team and manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, work engagement and people practices. This year, more than 350 firms competed for the opportunity to be recognized as one of the top companies in the annual "Bay Area's Best Places to Work" survey.

The official ranking from the survey was announced at an awards ceremony on April 29. Winning companies will also be recognized in a special "Best Places to Work" publication insert in the May 1, 2009 editions of the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and the San Francisco Business Times.
