ArcSight Targets Expansion Through New Tiered Channel Program
ArcSight Connections Channel Program Capitalizes on Market Trends and Growth Opportunities Through Strong Incentives and Significant Investments in Partner Enablement
CUPERTINO, CA – September 7, 2010 – ArcSight, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARST), a leading global provider of cybersecurity and compliance solutions, today announced the introduction of a tiered channel partner program in North America. The ArcSight Connections Channel Program is expected to open the way to channel business growth through escalating incentives and significant investments in partner enablement. ArcSight channel partners in North America will be transitioned to the new program beginning September 1, 2010.
ArcSight believes that the introduction of the ArcSight Connections Channel Program represents a strategic alignment with market trends and growth opportunities. New regulations and mandates are driving investments in ArcSight offerings across a broader group of industries, including small and mid-size businesses. At the same time, the relevance of ArcSight products continues to stretch beyond security use cases. IT operations, application development, and data center teams are all leveraging event log data to increase visibility and reduce risk. The new channel program will enable partners to capitalize on those growth opportunities through three key areas of program enhancement:
- Increased opportunity - Expansion of the total market size directly served by ArcSight partners.
- Stronger incentives - Escalating financial incentives and other benefits as partners reach defined revenue contribution milestones.
- Greater enablement - Significant investments in all stages of the partnership cycle, including on-boarding, training, lead generation and sales enablement.
ArcSight Connections is reinforced by a cross-functional focus on channel driven business that begins with product strategy. The company anticipates that new ArcSight solutions, lower entry price points, and broader functional capabilities introduced in recent and upcoming product launches collectively will enable partners to more easily seed the market and further differentiate against competition.
“The channel is a strategic part of our growth strategy and we are committed to providing our partners with the tools, education and opportunity they need for success,” said Tom Reilly, President and CEO, ArcSight. “We believe that the newly structured ArcSight Connections Channel Program will enable us to grow our partner community and further develop market opportunities worldwide.”
“As a long-standing partner, we look forward to a more tightly aligned strategic relationship with ArcSight driven by this new channel program,” said John Addeo, Practice Director, Advanced Security - North America, Dimension Data. “It’s great to see organizations that understand how channel programs can encourage and reward commitment and investments in return for representing their market-leading solutions.”
“With the increase in security and compliance regulations, our clients are looking to us, more now than ever, as trusted advisors to help protect their organizations' critical information assets. Our partnership with ArcSight allows us to meet the needs of our clients in a rapidly changing market by offering the premier security solution to help ensure the integrity of their enterprises, limit potential harm and reduce IT costs,” said Steve King, Vice President of IT for Data Intensity.
“We view our strategic partnership with ArcSight as critical to our success and we are excited about transitioning to the new and more tightly aligned program. Additionally, we appreciate the investments and efforts ArcSight is taking to make it easier for Partners like Data Intensity to capitalize on growth opportunities,” added Kevin Kennefick, President and CEO, Data Intensity. “Both ArcSight and Data Intensity have outstanding relationships and by partnering we are able to provide innovative, high quality products and services to our clients.”
“We believe the channel represents the largest and most expedient means for mid-market adoption of security products today. Customers rely on Ciphent and our team of cybersecurity experts to recommend and provide them best-of-breed security technology and services.” said Evan L Blair, Director of Channel Operations at Ciphent, Inc. “With the new ArcSight channel program our sales and services teams are now being provided the necessary support to deliver the leading ArcSight SIEM and log management solutions to our customers."
"ArcSight provides exceptional flexibility and a holistic approach to information security, which are invaluable for delivering a balanced approach to business, compliance, security intelligence, and IT operations,” said Joe Bonnell, Alchemy Security, CEO. “ArcSight is a strategic differentiator that helps us ensure our demanding international organizations prioritize limited resources in the most sensible manner possible.”
