ArcSight Expands Presence in Southeast Asia

Leading Security Vendor Announces Channel Partners, Expands Team

SINGAPORE – June 14, 2010 – ArcSight, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARST), a leading global provider of security and compliance management solutions that protect businesses and government agencies, today announced its extended reach in Southeast Asia with three partners in the region, including Transition Systems Asia in Indonesia, Transition Systems Malaysia, as well as Spectrum Edge in Malaysia.

The partners extend ArcSight reach within the region, which already includes over 15 partners.  The ArcSight channel program provides a foundation for ArcSight and its partners to build long-term relationships to assist customers around the world with solutions in the enterprise security market. In 2009 and 2010, the program was awarded a Five-Star certification in Everything Channel's annual Partner Program Guide.

To align its overarching global sales and marketing strategy, and further hone effectiveness of the company’s programs for addressing the growing demand in the Asia Pacific market, ArcSight has also appointed Mr Wong Loke Yeow as marketing director and evangelist for the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining ArcSight, Mr Wong Loke Yeow served as the Asia Pacific director of technology solutions (security) and Singapore director of business development with Oracle Corporation, security evangelist with Cybertrust (an information security company acquired by Verizon Business), and regional head of Asia Pacific Security Operations in the regional information security group at Deutsche Bank AG. Mr. Wong was also an IT Architect with the National Information Infrastructure group of Singapore’s National Computer Board (NCB) involved in the nation’s pioneering projects of the then Singapore IT2000 Masterplan.

Besides Mr Wong, the company had added to its sales team Mr David Ng as director of South Asia sales, as well as Mr Calvin Hoon as director of channel sales in Southeast Asia and India. Both gentlemen previously held positions in Asia with leading technology companies, including Blue Coat Systems, IBM, SUN Microsystems and Symantec.

“ArcSight is building a foundation throughout Southeast Asia and the addition of partners and staff significantly improves our presence,” said Albert Kuo, vice president and general manager of Asia Pacific for ArcSight. “We welcome our partners and look forward to working with them to reduce the threat of cybercrime for customers throughout the region."
