Howard A. Schmidt, Former White House Cyber Security Advisor, to Keynote at ArcSight 2006 User Conference

Event to Feature Industry Analyst Discussion on Emerging Security Issues; Customers to Gain Insight into the Latest Enterprise Security Management Trends and Technological Innovations

CUPERTINO, Calif. – April 21, 2006 – ArcSight, Inc., a global leader in Enterprise Security Management (ESM) software, today announced the speakers, key topics and events planned for its 2006 User Conference to be held May 23-25, 2006. Taking place in the Washington, D.C. area, the conference will bring together thought leaders on security to offer guidance to over 250 ArcSight customers on industry trends, deep-dive technical content and hands-on practical knowledge to conquer their security, insider threat and compliance management challenges.

The featured keynote will be from Howard A. Schmidt, former White House Cyber Security Advisor. Schmidt was also formerly Chief Security Officer for Microsoft and Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Security Strategist for online auction giant eBay. The conference will also feature a unique panel discussion with two of the security industry’s leading analysts: Mark Nicolett from Gartner and Paul Stamp from Forrester Research will give audience members fresh perspectives on the issues impacting the security industry, moderated by CSO Magazine Publisher Bob Bragdon. There will be over sixty sessions for attendees to choose from, including over a dozen customer-presentations by security professionals and business executives from leading companies to discuss industry trends and reveal critical advice for maximizing use and return on investment of security technologies.
