Advanced Persistent Threat: Cross Domains
Today's IT environments are often comprised of multiple networks that are segmented based on certain functional or geographical criteria. Each one of these network "domains" has its own rules for access and use. Strict guidelines are documented for how information can be copied from one domain to another, whether removable media is allowed, which protocols and ports are permitted and what specific paths a user must traverse to communicate with specific systems.
The purpose of this business case is to illustrate capabilities within ArcSight ESM that enable users to monitor cross domain policies. ArcSight ESM can gather event information from various network domains, and then easily correlate that information within a single, cross-domain view.
