Engagement Manager, Security Operations Center Consulting Practice
Position Description:
Engagement manager responsibilities include business development by working with sales
directly to help present PS service offerings; size, scope, and price engagements; develop
the statement of work (SOW) to describe the engagement in detail. The engagement manager
is responsible for the oversight of engagements developed in this practice area to include:
resource deployment, project management; customer satisfaction; deliverable quality control
while meeting gross margin target objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
The engagement manager is expected to work with consultants to meet billable utilization targets.
The engagement manger is also responsible for human resource management of their staff to include
hiring, staff development, and annual performance reviews.
The engagement manager will assist the director to develop and expand service offerings by working
with marketing, sales, and PS to develop service area collateral.
Required Experience:
- 2+ years security consulting or consulting management experience
- 5+ years general information security experience with some emphasis on Security Operations
- Experience and working knowledge of:
- Incident management
- Incident handling
- Forensics
- Intrusion detection
- Firewall deployment
- Security event analysis
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Desired Experience:
- 2+ years of consulting management
- 5+ years security operations and / or incident management experience
- Security analysis and intrusion analysis experience
- Intrusion detection, firewall, and security technology experience.
- General information security experience
- Project management; customer service management or responsibility for customer satisfaction; human resource management.
- Professional certification to include PMP, CISSP, SANS GCIA.
- Strong preferences given to those with a working knowledge of SIEM technology and/or ArcSight specific certification

Professional Services Consultant, Japan *
Responsible for customer-facing product deployments both pre-sales (i.e.
trials) and paid post sales engagements.
Position Responsibilities:
Ensure that ArcSight products are deployed and operating to deliver the
technical and business results required by the customer.
Required Experience:
- Security device installations, configuration and troubleshooting (e.g., firewall, IDS, etc.)
- Enterprise software installation experience (e.g., shared business or technical applications, not personal software)
- Sales support, having worked directly with a sales force.
- Expertise in UNIX, Linux, and Windows - able to teardown and rebuild a host system.
- Experience with Database installation and configuration is required and Oracle experience is a plus.
- Willingness to travel - up to 75%
Additional Experience Desired:
- Preferably have worked in a similar position in a known security products company
- Security consulting is a good second source, but the individual must understand the nature of working in a products company versus pure consulting (i.e. winning and salesmanship is important).

Engagement Manager, EMEA *
Position Description:
The Engagement Manager role is a field based position supporting the Design, implementation
and configuration of ArcSight Software.
Position Responsibilities:
An Engagement Manager (EM) works with ArcSight customers to develop a Statement of Work (SOW)
to govern the deployment of ArcSight software. He or she is responsible for the contract
negotiation and scheduling of the work. The EM requires a base technical knowledge in order
to handle these negotiations. Keeping a close working relationship with the Sales team is a
critical component of the position.
The EM is also responsible for managing regional staff. This includes administration,
development and scheduling tasks associated with team members. The EM is expected to work with
the management team to keep the utilization at or above targeted goals.
Required Experience:
The candidate is required to possess a solid technical background and a strong working knowledge
of the security industry. The candidate also requires pervious experience managing people as well
as experience managing to business goals.
Five years or more of formal experience with three or more of the following:
- Network Security Products.
- Linux, Windows and/or Solaris system administration.
- Networking products/technologies.
- Enterprise Security Analysis (MSSP, US Government, Fortune 1000)
- Security Consulting (Audit, Architecture, Implementation)
Desired Experience:
- ArcSight or other SIM/ESM Experience
- PMI Certification
- Certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCNA, CCNP
Education:
- BS or equivalent experience
